💼 1099 | Locum Tenens | Ortho Trauma Only
We’re seeking a Fellowship-Trained Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon for locum coverage in Redding, CA. This Level 2 Trauma Center functions at a Level 1 capacity and is experiencing an urgent need due to a provider relocation.
✈️ Travel & Lodging:
Local providers preferred (no flights)
Lodging at preferred hotels
Indicate travel city; submit any dietary or travel exceptions with CV
Job Responsibilities
Setting: Acute care, trauma-level facility
Coverage: 24-hour call (7a–7a)
Duties: ED call, inpatient rounding, ortho consultation
Patient Volume: 20–30/day
Support Staff: Dedicated APPs; separate neurosurgery team
EMR: Cerner Care B
Qualifications
Fellowship in Orthopedic Trauma
Board Certification – Orthopedic Surgery
Active California Fluoroscopy Permit
No billing enrollment (not replacing a current provider)
Dealbreaker: No trauma fellowship
