Position Details:

Patient Population: All ages, trauma and orthopedic surgery cases

Setting: Hospital-based practice at Covenant HealthCare
-
Responsibilities:
-
Diagnose, treat, and surgically manage complex orthopedic trauma cases
-
Provide specialized care for polytrauma, acute fractures, joint injuries, nonunion/malunion fractures, bone infections, and musculoskeletal traumas
-
Work collaboratively with a 10-physician orthopedic team

Call responsibility: Approximately 4 calls per month

Required Procedures: Orthopedic trauma surgeries, including pelvis and extremity fractures, joint injuries, and complex reconstructions

EMR System: EPIC

Support Staff: Multidisciplinary team, including orthopedic surgeons, trauma specialists, and advanced practice providers

Days Per Month: Full-time schedule with call coverage

On-Call/Weekends: 4 calls per month
Submission Requirements:

Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery (ABOS only) - Required

Fellowship-trained in Orthopedic Trauma - Required

Active MI license or in process of obtaining - Highly Preferred

2+ years of experience in Orthopedic Trauma - Preferred
