Orthopedic Trauma Surgery Opportunity - Midland, MI

MyMichigan Health, an affiliate the University of Michigan, has an outstanding opportunity for an Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon in Midland, MI. The MD/DO must be board certified or board eligible by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery or the American Osteopathic Board of Orthopedic Surgery or the equivalent board in another country which is recognized by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery.

Location
Large Musculoskeletal Care Group with orthopedic subspecialty support in foot and ankle, hand, pediatrics and sports medicine, along with a strong primary care sports medicine program.

Midland, MI is an upscale, family oriented community of nearly 50,000 centrally located in Michigan’s Lower Peninsula less than two hours from metro areas of Detroit and the state capitol of Lansing. Midland was recently named as one of the “Top 15 Dreamtowns” in the U.S. It is the “Ann Arbor of the North”. Due to the “people mix” and the healthy economic status Midland is capable of offering a diverse and sophisticated selection of cultural, educational, recreational and leisure activities.

Reason for Recruitment
Growth and expansion of the health system trauma program. Become part of a two orthopedic traumatologist model supporting a mid-size health system at a Level 2 trauma center. MyMichigan Health serves as the musculoskeletal team physician for multiple colleges within Division I, II, and III athletics.

Practice Details
This multispecialty group employs providers in more than 30 specialties and sub-specialties throughout Michigan. Schedule consists of 2 – 3 days per week OR, 2 days per week clinic. MyMichigan Health covers middle and northern Michigan, including the Upper Peninsula. Referrals may come from primary care providers, urgent cares, or emergency departments. MyMichigan Health has 9 emergency departments and 8 urgent cares.
