SSM Health St. Francis Hospital in Maryville, Missouri is recruiting for a full-time general and sports orthopedic surgeon to join our growing medical group. We are committed to improving the quality of health in northwest Missouri by providing a variety of surgical service lines. We have an excellent partnership with Northwest Missouri State University and provide comprehensive sports medicine services for their teams as well as nearby high schools. We can support a variety of specialty interests including general, sports, total joints, and occupational medicine plus allow you to build your practice around the cases you enjoy most. Our medical staff and administration will welcome you! We anticipate a very successful and rewarding ramp-up with a proven history of success in orthopedics.

  • Employment model with generous, guaranteed base salary plus clearly defined bonuses

  • Relocation package, student loan repayment, and starting bonus

  • Realistic compensation in the 75%-90% range for a hard working orthopedic surgeon; huge potential with the possibility of 700+ cases annually if desired

  • Comprehensive benefits including paid time off (6 weeks), CME with $5,000 allowance, extensive insurance options, retirement plans including matching 401(a) and a defined contribution plan, occurrence-based liability insurance, and much more

  • 4.5-day workweek; At least 2 full days in the OR

  • Board-certified anesthesiology physicians provide 24/7 coverage

  • Proven and strong referral patterns

  • 1:3 call with willing support staff to assist as necessary; no trauma

  • Two orthopedic extenders to assist in clinic and OR as you desire

  • Experienced OR support staff with exceptional patient satisfaction scores
