NexGen Orthopedics is seeking a highly skilled, motivated and patient-focused Orthopedic Surgeon specializing in minimally invasive shoulder and knee procedures to join our growing multidisciplinary practice in New Jersey.

The successful candidate will work closely with pain management specialists, chiropractors, and physical therapists to provide comprehensive, operative and non-operative care to treat a wide spectrum of musculoskeletal disorders involving the shoulder and knee; reducing surgical trauma; improving recovery times; and improving patient function through personalized treatment and collaborative approaches.

- Expertise in shoulder and knee arthroscopy and sports-related surgical procedures
- Commitment to evidence-based medicine and arthroscopic and minimally invasive orthopedic procedures and surgical techniques

- Passion for delivering exceptional patient outcomes and experiences
- Interest in helping to grow a high-performing orthopedic program


Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat a wide spectrum of musculoskeletal disorders involving the shoulder and knee
-Perform advanced orthopedic procedures in an Ambulatory Surgical Center setting, including:
- Arthroscopic shoulder procedures
- Arthroscopic knee procedures
- Sports-related injury repairs
- Ligament reconstruction
- Minimally invasive joint preservation techniques
Perform advanced, shoulder & knee procedures (e.g., arthroscopy) using small, targeted incisions, and arthroscopic guidance
- Sports Medicine & Minimally Invasive Expertise
- Manage sports-related injuries including ligament tears, cartilage injuries, rotator cuff pathology, and instability
- Perform minimally invasive and arthroscopic procedures that support faster recovery and improved patient outcomes
- Stay current with emerging sports medicine and orthopedic surgical innovations

Clinical & Surgical Care
- Develop individualized treatment plans incorporating both surgical and non-operative approaches
- Provide high-quality preoperative and postoperative care, ensuring optimal patient outcomes
- Patient Education & Follow-Up
- Educate patients on their conditions, treatment options, and expected outcomes. Provide continuity of care through detailed follow-up visits
- Commitment to staying current with rapid advancements in orthopedic technology and techniques

Patient Experience & Practice Growth
- Contribute to the growth and reputation of the practice through clinical excellence and collaboration
- Deliver exceptional patient-centered care that prioritizes communication, education, and shared decision-making
- Maintain detailed clinical documentation and adhere to regulatory and quality standards
- Participate in practice initiatives that enhance clinical outcomes, operational efficiency, and patient satisfaction

Collaborative Multidisciplinary Care
- Work collaboratively with a team of specialists to develop multidisciplinary treatment plans
- Actively communicate with physical therapists, pain management physicians, chiropractors and nurses to optimize patient outcomes from preoperative planning to postoperative rehabilitation to design coordinated care plans.

Qualifications

Education
· Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited institution.
· Completion of an ACGME-accredited Orthopedic Surgery Residency.
· Fellowship training in Sports Medicine or Shoulder/Knee Surgery strongly preferred

Licensure & Certification
· Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery
· Eligible for or currently holding an active medical license in the State of New Jersey
· DEA registration and eligibility to practice in an Ambulatory Surgical Center setting
· Certification or advanced training in arthroscopy and minimally invasive orthopedic procedures preferred

Working Hours

While standard office hours are 9am-7pm, employees may occasionally be required to work outside of these hours. Travel to any of our office locations and surgical center/hospital , is a requirement of the role.

Surgical Center/Hospital hours vary depending on patient volume on those select days.

- Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy of results
- Ability to work with collaborating medical professionals in interpreting diagnostic images & results
- Excellent communication skills, ability to execute procedure discussions
- Strong technical trouble shooting skills to address equipment issues
- Proficiency in performing diagnostic procedures & corrective surgical procedures
