Orthopedic Sports Medicine Opportunity - Alpena, MI
MyMichigan Health, an affiliate of the University of Michigan Health, has an outstanding opportunity for a sports medicine physician in Alpena, Michigan. The MD/DO must be board certified or board eligible.
Reason for Recruitment - Large demand for sports medicine services.
Practice Details
A WellSport primary care sports medicine specialist focuses on the diagnosis, management and non-surgical treatment of musculoskeletal injuries and disorders in patients of all ages. This includes acute injuries like sprains, strains, contusions and joint pain; non-surgical fractures and dislocations; as well as chronic injuries caused by overuse or normal wear and tear on the muscles and joints of the body. Additionally, a primary care sports medicine physician specializes in the management of sports-related medical conditions. Treatment may include diagnostic and procedural ultrasound, restorative medicine, performance arts medicine and concussion management. If surgery is required, the primary care sports medicine specialist will also help expedite the referral to an orthopedic or specialized surgeon.
No Call Responsibility
Schedule
Traditional Office hours – Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Willing to discuss other models.
