Physician - Orthopedic Spine Surgeon
SCHEDULE:

LOCATION:
Walnut Creek, California
COMPANY PROFILE:
This private practice is a sub-specialty group consisting of expert spine surgeons, neurosurgeons, neurologists, pediatric neurologists, orthopedic surgeons, plastic and reconstructive surgeons, otolaryngologists, ophthalmologists, urologists, and pain medicine physicians. Together, they work to manage injuries of the musculoskeletal system and ensure patients receive the best treatment possible. They currently operate 16 locations in 2 states and are hiring due to growth.
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The new spine surgeon will see patients in an established office and surgery center. Duties of the role include, but are not limited to:
- obtain information on medical conditions to determine diagnosis
- examine and consult with patients to determine appropriate courses of treatment
- perform surgical procedures in the treatment of injuries or symptoms
- order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests as appropriate
- provide consultation and comprehensive management of patients
- monitor patients’ conditions and progress
The exact details of the position are negotiable and will be collaboratively decided between the practice and the physician.
While a small practice in spine-only can be offered, the organization is able to offer additional volume in general orthopedic surgeries and/or interventional pain procedures, if the physician is interested. Physicians who are able to travel (on a limited basis) can also be offered additional spine surgery work in other office locations.
REQUIREMENTS:
- California medical license
- DEA
- Board Certified or Eligible, Orthopedic Surgery
- Fellowship, Spine Surgery
- ability to do orthopedic and/or interventional pain surgeries a plus
- ability to travel occasionally a plus
