Exciting locum Orthopedic Surgery opportunity providing inpatient and on-call coverage with no clinic responsibilities. Ideal for experienced orthopedic surgeons seeking block scheduling, strong hospital support, and a focused surgical role in a collaborative environment 💪
Job Responsibilities
• Provide inpatient orthopedic care and on-call coverage
• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat musculoskeletal injuries and conditions
• Manage trauma, degenerative diseases, infections, and orthopedic emergencies
• Perform consults and surgical interventions as needed
• Coordinate care across two nearby hospital locations
Qualifications
• Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery
• Fellowship-trained Orthopedic Surgeon
• Active Iowa license or IMLC eligibility
• Proven experience in inpatient and call coverage
• Clean malpractice and background history
Working Hours
• On-call block coverage (Days + Call)
• Required coverage periods:
o Aug 5 (7 AM) – Aug 10 (7 AM)
o Oct 26 (7 AM) – Nov 6 (7 AM)
• Weekend and call coverage included ⏱️
