LanceSoft Inc. is seeking an actively practicing Orthopedic Surgeon to provide 24/7 ED and inpatient consult coverage at a 72-bed rural community hospital in Red Bluff, CA. This is a low-volume, high-autonomy assignment ideal for surgeons comfortable managing a broad range of general orthopedic cases. Higher-acuity cases are transferred to a tertiary facility.
Job Responsibilities
Setting: Community Hospital
Trauma Level: Level III
Licensed Beds: 72
Coverage Type: 24/7 ED & inpatient orthopedic consults
EMR: Cerner
OR Support: Available
Transfers: Higher-level orthopedic trauma transferred out
Qualifications
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery
ACGME or AOA-approved residency completion
Active State Medical License
DEA (required during credentialing)
CA Fluoroscopy Certificate (must be obtained by start)
Actively practicing (not immediately out of residency)
Clean malpractice history (highly preferred)
NPDB self-query within 30 days of submission
Availability confirmed at time of name clear
Skills
Respond to ED and inpatient orthopedic consults
Perform general orthopedic procedures
Stabilize patients prior to transfer when indicated
Collaborate with ED physicians and OR staff
Document care in Cerner EMR
