Job description
We are seeking a Board-Certified Orthopedic Surgeon with Fellowship Training in Hand Surgery for periodic 24-hour beeper call coverage. This locum opportunity is driven by long-term departmental restructuring and includes several confirmed coverage blocks through 2026. This is a call-only, inpatient-focused assignment at a Level II Trauma Center, ideal for a fellowship-trained hand surgeon with availability for scheduled blocks.
- Provide 24-hour call for orthopedic hand surgery emergencies
- Respond to consults within 20 minutes (beeper call model)
- Manage a range of surgical cases, primarily focused on hand and upper extremity trauma and conditions
- No inpatient rounding or outpatient clinic responsibilitiesBoard Certification in Orthopedic Surgery
- Fellowship in Hand Surgery (required)
- Active WA license or IMLC eligibility
- Current BLS certification
- Experience in trauma-level environments preferredTendon release/repair
- Peripheral nerve surgery
- Arthroscopy
- Hand and upper extremity procedures
- Management of fractures, dislocations, and nerve injuries
Job Responsibilities
