Job Description

Last Update: 4/11/24

Einstein Healthcare Network, now a part of Jefferson Health, has provided compassionate, high-quality healthcare to anyone in need since 1866. We began with what was, in the late 1800's, a remarkable and forward-thinking creed: to provide medical care to the sick and wounded without regard to creed, color or nationality. Our primary mission remains true to the founder's intent. With our more than 500 employed specialty and primary care physicians, Einstein is able to provide the full spectrum of service to our community, from primary though quaternary care. Our primary service area is North Philadelphia whose population has significant medical needs and other challenges. Einstein is known for its mission of commitment to the community and has gained a reputation for excellence, compassion, and innovation. Einstein Physicians Philadelphia, our employed specialty practice group, and the department of medicine, are seeking to add an Orthopedic Total Joints Surgeon to our team of outstanding orthopedic physicians. Join us; make a difference.

The Orthopedic department currently consists of 14 full and part-time faculty members, all of whom have specific subspecialty interests, and an ACGME training program consisting of 13 residents. We have three offices located throughout the Philadelphia area. Our main offices are based at the Einstein Medical Center, Philadelphia campus in North Philadelphia with other free-standing satellites throughout Philadelphia and the surrounding suburbs. Each location is staffed by a team of board-certified orthopedic surgeons and physicians, licensed physical therapists, and certified athletic trainers. Radiology services are available at all our sites.

The new faculty member will join a busy total joints practice, a PA, and MossRehab services. Scheduling will include both clinic and dedicated OR days. You will see an average of 30 patients per clinic day. Orthopedic call is shared. Both fellows and experienced physicians are welcome to apply.
