  • The OSF Saint Francis Medical Center General Practice Residency Program faculty provide a learning environment for our dental residents who are part of the OSF Saint Francis Medical Center.
  • This is a .6 FTE, employed, salary-supported opportunity.
  • Our program is dedicated to education, research and innovation in order to provide the highest quality care to those patients we serve.
  • In this position, the Attending Dentist is responsible for facilitating the development and education of residents at our Dental Clinics.

OSF HealthCare Saint Francis Medical Center

OSF HealthCare Saint Francis Medical Center, with 629 beds, is the fifth-largest medical center in Illinois. A major teaching affiliate of the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria, it is the area’s only Level I Trauma Center, the highest level designated in trauma care. OSF General Practice Residency

The OSF Dental Residency provides comprehensive dental care to the underinsured in the Peoria area. We have two clinics associated with our residency, the Sister’s Clinic and the Heartland Clinic. The Heartland Clinic has been affiliated with the OSF dental residency since 2010. In 2013 the OSF hospital acquired the clinic. Both clinics treat patients of all ages. In addition, our residents rotate at the Peoria Health Department Dental Clinic where they gain experience treating children and special needs patients. Our residents treat patients in the clinics as well as in in-patient and OR settings.


Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Doctorate Licenses/Certifications: Physician Licensed to practice medicine in current state. Board certified or board eligible in the appropriate specialty(ies). Obtain and maintain medical staff membership and appropriate privileges. Must be eligible as a provider for Medicare, Medicaid, and other federal heath programs. Physician shall meet all qualifications to participate in OSF's programs for professional malpractice and other liability coverage. Licensed by the Federal Drug Enforcement Administration and the State of Illinois to prescribe narcotics, if applicable.
