Explore a locum tenens opportunity near Charleston, South Carolina, with a focus on facial trauma call coverage.
Highlights
- Available dates: 1 week per month needed; ongoing assignment
- 24-hour facial trauma call coverage only
- Level 2 trauma center experience
Practice Setting
- Inpatient setting within a large, 500+ bed facility
- Hospital support staff available to assist
- Rotating call coverage with ENT, Oral Surgery, and Plastic Surgery groups
Schedule
- 24-hour shifts from 8 a.m. to 8 a.m
Cases and Procedures
- Focus on facial trauma, including mandibles, orbital floors, and lid lacerations
- Handle cases from the ED, perform procedures, and manage post-op rounds and inpatient consultations
- Call volume is typically around 5-6 consults per day
Requirements
- Board Certified or Eligible within 5 years in Otolaryngology, Oral Surgery, or Plastic Surgery
- Comfortable working independently in a busy trauma center
- South Carolina state licensure required
- Must be adept at managing facial trauma cases
