***Dentist Opportunity in Bridgeport, CT*** - Location: Bridgeport; Hartford 50m, New York 60m **Position Details:** - We are currently recruiting for a dentist to join our school based sites in Bridgeport, CT. - This position is part-time- 35 hours per week. - Join our team-based model of care delivered in a kind and compassionate manner. - Largest provider of primary health care services in Fairfield County, proudly serving all patients regardless of their ability to pay. - Demonstrate competency in the assessment, range of treatment, knowledge of growth and development and communication appropriate to the age of the patient treated. - Examine patients intraoral and perioral structures utilizing radiographs and other diagnostic materials. - Diagnose dental disorders, including but not limited to those caused by disease, injury, genetics and environment. - Determine etiology of dental diseases and disorders. - Evaluate the effect of systemic disorders and pharmacologic treatment on dental conditions. - Advise patients of treatment plan alternatives and options. - Treat patients dental diseases and disorders to restore function and esthetics in a comprehensive manner. - Provide patients with dental health education. - Monitor patients treated in conjunction with the Dental Clinical Director. - Practice infection control and employs the management plan to meet OSHA, CDC, ADA and JCAHO standards. - Consult with the Dental Clinical Director on referral and other matters pertaining to dental health services. **Job Qualifications/Requirements:** - Education: DDS or DMD degree from an accredited dental school. - Licensure/Certification: Current Connecticut Dental License, current Drug Enforcement Act (DEA) license, current Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection Controlled Substance license, CPR certification required upon hire and recertification bi-annually. - Experience: Minimum two (2) years experience. Background in a fast paced clinical setting recommended. Familiarity with tele-medicine and prior experience a plus. - Language: Bi-Lingual English / Spanish a plus **About location:** Bridgeport is located in Southwest Connecticut, in between neighboring areas such as Fairfield, Stratford, and Trumbull.
