**Dentist Opening in CT**
* Located in Putnam, CT - Hartford, CT 48m; New Haven 80m

* Seeking a General Dentist (DMD or DDS)
* Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
* Ability to develop and revise dental policies and procedures to meet licensing requirements
* Lift weights of up to thirty (30) pounds
* Must possess the physical agility and dexterity to administer proper care to patients on a daily basis
* Ability to transport oneself within the service area
* Must be available for occasional evening hours
* Supervise and evaluate the work performance of the dental hygienist and dental assistant
* Maintain productivity standards that are common to community health centers.
**Requirements & Details**
* Must have current license to practice dentistry in Connecticut or ability to obtain licensure
* Valid Federal and State Controlled Substance License.
* Must possess ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with little supervision
* Must have good judgment and ability to make appropriate decisions
* Must have reliable transportation and ability to travel within the Generations Family Health Center, Inc. service area
* Must maintain complete confidentiality

**About the Facility**
Regional community health center covering a thirty seven town rural region in eastern Connecticut with sites located in Willimantic, Danielson, Norwich and Putnam. Our dedicated staff provides a full range of preventative and primary care medical services to all ages including health maintenance of chronic diseases, 24 hour on call, hospitalization coverage and patient case management, as well as complete behavioral health and dental services at our Willimantic and Putnam sites and through our School Based Health Center and mobile dental program operating in the Northeast and Windham service area.
**About the Area**
Home to around 10,000 people, Putnam, originally known as Aspinock, is a New England mill town incorporated in 1855 and was a key contributor in providing clothing and other goods to the Civil War soldiers. There were numerous mills and a train ran through the town, providing transportation for the goods being produced.
Putnam District or "Historic Downtown" is home to many arts events and businesses. Aligning Main Street, which runs through the center of Downtown, there are over seven arts-related businesses in just one block of the town. In 2010, a small group of local business owners including Sean Condon of Glimpse of Gaia, Dot Burnworth of Sawmill Pottery, Carly Sage of Silver Circle Gallery, and others started First Friday Putnam, a monthly arts-based event running from March to October.
