Rochester General Hospital is currently seeking outstanding applicants for a full-time Oral Maxillofacial surgeon to join our robust and growing Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery department in the role of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency Program Director.

This is an extraordinary opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated surgeon to lead the OMFS residency from its inception. Rochester Regional Health and the Graduate Medical Education programs are committed to the long-term success of the residency, including providing faculty support and resident recruitment coordination. This position entails responsibilities in both didactic/clinical teaching and supervision of residents in the oral and maxillofacial surgery inaugural program. Providing direct patient care as part of the faculty practice, including trauma on-call coverage, participation in research programs and other collaborative activities within Rochester Regional Health are essential parts of the role.

This position offers the opportunity to develop a diverse and challenging academic oral and maxillofacial surgery curriculum, mentor residents, and participate in professional collaboration and leadership development activities.

This opportunity will appeal to candidates who have a passion for providing care to all patient populations including the underserved. Priority will be given to Oral-Maxillofacial Surgeons with previous experience in hospital dentistry, community health centers, dental education and leadership.

Candidates need to possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills in order to relate to groups at all levels within the organization, including office staff, attending dentists, and senior leadership; must display initiative, a positive attitude, flexibility and commitment to department goals and objectives; must be committed to the highest standards of ethical and professional conduct.

Requires a DDS/DMD degree from a CODA accredited US or Canadian dental school, completion of a CODA-approved oral and maxillofacial surgery residency program, board certification by the American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and a NY dental license.

Thank you for your consideration. Please let me know if you have interest in this opportunity and I will facilitate getting you additional information.
