PRACTICE OPPORTUNITY:

  • Located in a suburb of Washington, DC, a Pediatric Ophthalmologist is needed to join a well-established and highly regarded Pediatric Ophthalmology practice.

  • They currently have six busy Pediatric Ophthalmologists.

  • ROP skills are required!

  • They screen and treat ROP, covering around 100 beds and lead the premier biennial CME course on ROP.

  • Although they have four offices located in suburbs of Washington, DC, the new Pediatric Ophthalmologist will only need to work at one office plus a Surgery Center.

  • This stellar Pediatric Ophthalmology group is the largest pediatric ophthalmology and adult strabismus practice in Maryland, with offices from the Washington, D.C. area to Baltimore County.

  • Their physicians are fellowship trained pediatric ophthalmologists and eye surgeons. All their physicians are familiar and genuinely interested in the care of young children. Both professionally and personally, they understand the special needs of infants and children.

  • Their physicians work in a collaborative environment using state-of-the-art equipment in an academically oriented, private practice with family-friendly hours.

  • This practice has been a leader in clinical research since the late 1990s. They participate in journal clubs and professional meetings.

  • Teaching opportunities are also available.

  • Established in the mid-1990’s, this specialty practice is dedicated to medical and surgical eye care for children in a warm and supportive environment. They provide top quality eye care to four Washington, D.C. suburban communities!

  • This group also participates in and support studies with the Pediatric Eye Disease Investigator Group (PEDIG – a division of National Institute of Health) that further advance their ability to diagnose and treat children with childhood eye disorders.

  • This excellent pediatric ophthalmology opportunity is due to increased patient volume and area growth.

  • Availability: Pediatric Ophthalmologists completing their fellowships in June of 2019 and June of 2020, as well as Pediatric Ophthalmologists who have prior work experience and are currently in practice will all be strongly considered and are welcome to apply.
