Job description
Join an expanding Ophthalmology division seeking a talented physician with interest in comprehensive eye care. Opportunity to build a strong general ophthalmology practice while growing subspecialty interests such as glaucoma, cornea, or retina. Work in modern clinics with state-of-the-art equipment, strong internal referrals, and collaborative support from ophthalmologists, optometrists, and trained technicians.
Job Responsibilities
• Perform comprehensive eye examinations and preventive screenings
• Manage conditions such as cataracts, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, and dry eye disease
• Perform in-office procedures and surgical interventions as indicated
• Interpret imaging and diagnostic testing including OCT, visual fields, fundus photography, and tonometry
• Collaborate with optometrists, primary care providers, and specialists for coordinated care
• Educate patients regarding treatment options, medications, and eye health maintenance
• Maintain timely and accurate EMR documentation
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical growth programs
Qualifications
• Successful completion of Ophthalmology residency
• Board Certified / Board Eligible in Ophthalmology
• Fellowship training in Glaucoma, Cornea, or Retina preferred but not required
• Active New York medical license or ability to obtain
• DEA certification preferred
• Strong surgical, diagnostic, and interpersonal skills
