Locums Opportunity – Ophthalmology
Location: Stevens Point, Wisconsin
IMLC Accepted
Assignment Availability
- Start Date: April 17, 2026
- End Date: Ongoing
- Coverage Type: Clinic + Call
- Initial Coverage Need: April 17, 2026 – May 1, 2026
- Shift Structure: Friday 7:00 AM – Friday 7:00 AM
- Additional Availability: Various weeks available throughout 2026
- Monday – Thursday
- 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- 30–60 minute unpaid lunch (may impact hours)
- No clinic hours on holidays
- Beeper call during assigned coverage week
- 30-minute response time required
- Callback paid only if physician is physically called in (phone triage not compensated)
- Clinic and hospital coverage
- Coverage includes Emergency Department and Hospital admissions if required
- System call coverage via phone for ambulatory patients
- Ambulatory patients typically seen in Stevens Point clinic
- Occasional travel to Wausau
- 0–3 trips per week
- Distance: ~30 miles via interstate
- Active Wisconsin license OR Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC)
- Board Certified – Required
- BLS – Required
- Fellowship training
- Trauma Level II
- EMR: Epic
- Admissions Required
- Assigned and unassigned patient rounding
- Experienced clinic tech staff available
- Act 10 acceptable
