The Opportunity

An established, multi-location ophthalmology organization with a strong regional presence is expanding its service line in Central Alabama. This clinic-based opportunity offers immediate patient volume, strong internal referrals, and the ability to step into an established footprint with long-term growth potential.

The practice operates within a corporate-supported private structure and maintains a collegial, patient-centered culture with high staff retention and strong physician collaboration.

This is not a hospital-employed position. It is a clinic-based ophthalmology role with an on-site surgical center.

Job Responsibilities

Why This Role?
Established Practice: ~60 patients per day per ophthalmologist with strong internal referral volume
100% Staff Retention: Stable, experienced clinical team
Robust Support: 9 technicians and 3 COA-accredited scribes
Financial Potential: $500,000 guaranteed in Year 1 with strong upside
Growth Opportunity: Step into an established patient base with an ophthalmologist retiring in September 2026
Referral Strength: No local competition and a well-established referral network
Clinical Volume: 2,000+ cataract surgeries annually, plus significant retina surgical and injection volume (~70 injections/day)

Financial Package
Income: Guaranteed salary ($450K - $475K based on experience + collections)
Proven Potential: 35% of collections up to $700,000+
Signing Bonus: $30K
Incentives: High surgical and injection volume; strong internal referrals

Qualifications

Requirements:
Board Certified or Board Eligible
Surgical capability (cataracts for comprehensive ophthalmology)
Strong clinical and communication skills
