Exceptional Pediatric Ophthalmology locums opportunity in St. Louis, Missouri available for a highly skilled, fellowship-trained physician ready to step into a structured schedule with clinic, NICU rounding, and light call coverage. This is a strong assignment for a provider who enjoys pediatric specialty care, values a predictable weekly workflow, and is confident performing Strabismus procedures as a core requirement. With full-time availability preferred and a defined coverage window from June through September, this is a premium short-term opportunity with high impact and strong earning potential.
Job Responsibilities
• Perform required Strabismus procedures as assigned
• Provide NICU rounding support one day per week
• Participate in on-call coverage rotation as scheduled
• Supervise APP support and ensure quality patient care delivery
• Collaborate with pediatric teams and hospital staff to support continuity of care
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and timely follow-up care plans
Qualifications
• Pediatric Ophthalmology fellowship required
• Must be comfortable supervising APP support
• Must be able to perform Strabismus procedures (required)
• No license requirement listed to bid, open to qualified candidates
• Full-time availability strongly preferred
Working Hours
• Coverage Type: Scheduled clinical hours plus call
• Clinic coverage 3 days per week
• Monday, Tuesday, Thursday: 8:00a to 4:00p
• NICU rounding 1 day per week: flexible 8:00a to 12:00p
• On-call coverage every Wednesday with average 1 to 2 calls per week
• Optional Friday coverage: 7:00a to 2:00p

• Strong surgical capability with Strabismus procedures
• Confident managing pediatric ophthalmology consults and follow-ups
• Ability to supervise APP support effectively
• Strong communication skills with families and pediatric teams
• Comfort supporting NICU rounding and medically complex pediatric patients
• Ability to respond efficiently to on-call needs
