Locum Tenens – Billings, Montana Ophthalmologist
Immediate Coverage Needs:
- April 9–12, April 29–30, May 22–June 4
- Ongoing coverage as part of the locum pool
- Shifts: Friday 07:00 – following Friday 07:00 (clinic + call)
- Clinic hours: 8:00–16:00 (longer if call is busy)
- Patients per day: 6–16 (variable)
- Call: 24-hour weekend coverage, beeper system, 20-minute response time, call ratio variable
Clinical Responsibilities:
- Clinic and call coverage for two Level I trauma centers
- Must be able to perform ruptured globe surgery
- Common surgeries: open globes, eyelid lacerations
- Admissions: Yes
- Rounding: Yes, both assigned and unassigned
- High-volume, fast-paced surgical practice
Licensure & Certifications:
- MT license or IMLC accepted
- Board eligible – required
- BLS and ACLS – required
- Fellowship – preferred
Systems / Tools:
- EMR: Cerner
- Call communication: Voalte (secure paging system)
Other Notes:
- This provider is being added to ongoing locum pool
- Must have recent surgical experience
