We are seeking a qualified Optometrist to join a well-established community clinic in Michigan. This full-time role offers competitive compensation, up to 3 weeks of PTO in the first year, and an excellent work-life balance with no nights or weekends. The position focuses on delivering high-quality, patient-centered eye care within a collaborative, interdisciplinary healthcare setting.
Job Responsibilities
Diagnose and manage ocular diseases and vision conditions within scope of practice
Deliver direct patient care, including case management and follow-up treatment
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, opticians, and other healthcare professionals for coordinated patient care
Assist in training and supporting essential clinical staff, including opticians
Advocate for patients by identifying and communicating care needs to the healthcare team
Educate patients and families on eye health, disease prevention, and vision maintenance
Participate in quality improvement initiatives, peer review, and development of clinical standards
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
Qualifications
Active, unrestricted Optometrist license in the state of Michigan (or eligibility to obtain)
Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience required
Strong clinical, diagnostic, and patient communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment
Commitment to quality care, patient education, and community health
