Salary and Benefits

  • Salary range: $122,000 to $182,000 depending on experience
  • Loan repayment options available (National Health Service Corps eligible)
  • Quarterly productivity bonuses available

Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine outpatient eye exams and visual field tests
  • Diagnose and manage eye-related disorders including infections and vision issues
  • Prescribe corrective lenses and monitor prescription changes
  • Refer patients to ophthalmologists for surgical or specialized care when needed
  • Educate patients on proper eye care and vision safety practices
  • Document care and patient history using eClinicalWorks (ECW) EMR
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support comprehensive care
  • Participate in peer reviews, clinical meetings, and quality assurance processes
  • Maintain compliance with infection control protocols and regulatory standards
  • Supervise optometry techs and assist with student training as applicable

Requirements

  • Clear and active Florida Optometrist license (Required)
  • Current DEA Certification (Required)
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR/EHR)
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills
  • New graduates welcome to apply
