Job description We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Optometrist to join a mission-driven healthcare organization in Wyoming. This full-time role involves delivering comprehensive vision care across three optometry clinics. The ideal candidate will be passionate about patient care, capable of working in a team-oriented environment, and committed to serving a diverse patient population.

Job Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive eye examinations to evaluate visual acuity and detect ocular diseases or abnormalities.

Diagnose, treat, and manage conditions such as glaucoma, cataracts, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, and refractive errors.

Prescribe eyeglasses, contact lenses, and other vision aids tailored to each patient’s needs.

Provide education and counseling on eye health, preventive care, and vision management.

Collaborate with physicians, ophthalmologists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive patient care.

Maintain accurate and complete patient records in accordance with clinical protocols and regulatory standards.

Participate in outreach and preventive health programs within the community.

Stay current on advancements in optometric care and implement best practices to ensure quality outcomes.

Travel between clinic locations (Arapaho, Riverton, and Ethete) as needed to deliver care.

Qualifications

Doctor of Optometry (OD) from an accredited institution.

A current, unrestricted license to practice optometry in the United States.

Strong diagnostic and clinical skills, with comprehensive knowledge of optometric principles and practices.

Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds.

Current BLS Certification (or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire).

Valid driver's license and eligibility for coverage under organizational auto insurance.

Must pass a criminal background check under the Indian Child Protection and Family Violence Prevention Act (P.L. 101-630).
