We are seeking a dedicated Optometrist to join our Owatonna and Waseca teams. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional eye care services, diagnose and manage visual and ocular conditions, prescribe corrective lenses, and educate patients on maintaining optimal eye health. Our mission is to exceed patient expectations while fostering a respectful and collaborative environment for both patients and staff.
Job Responsibilities
Prescribe glasses and contact lenses accurately, including addressing special or complex needs.
Provide pre- and postoperative care for patients undergoing eye surgery.
Promote eye health by counseling patients on preventive care, contact lens use, and treatment options.
Collaborate with healthcare providers for patients with systemic conditions like diabetes, and specialize in areas of professional interest such as low vision or vision therapy.
Qualifications
Licensure: Active Optometry license in the state of Minnesota.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
Ability to make sharp clinical decisions and provide patient-centered care.
Experience with EMR/EHR systems preferred.
