Salary and Benefits
- Pay Range: $58.17 to $69.23 per hour (based on experience, skill set, and qualifications)
- Schedule: Thursdays and Fridays only, 8:00am – 5:00pm
- Quality Incentive Bonus – Up to $2,100 quarterly based on performance metrics and scheduled hours

Responsibilities
- Conduct eye exams to determine visual acuity, perception, focus, coordination, and diagnose abnormalities
- Prescribe corrective lenses, vision aids, and medications (where permitted by law)
- Counsel patients on visual hygiene, contact lens care, and eye safety
- Refer patients to ophthalmologists or other providers as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure quality of care
- Engage with patients in a compassionate and culturally competent manner
- Function as part of a team within a community health center setting
Requirements
- Doctorate in Optometry (OD)
- Active Massachusetts therapeutic level optometry license
- Current Massachusetts Controlled Substances Registration
- Board Certification in Optometry
- Minimum of five years professional experience preferred
- Public health experience preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Passion for serving low-income, underserved communities
