Locums | Ophthalmology | Clinic | Houghton, MI (IMLC accepted) Why This Role

  • Busy outpatient ophthalmology practice with surgeries and procedures, no call
  • Structured schedule alternating between surgical/procedural weeks and follow-up clinic weeks
  • Epic EMR with efficient support staff in place
Assignment Details Start Date: 12/10/2025 End Date: Ongoing Coverage Type: Clinic Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8a-5p - Week 1: Surgeries and procedures - Week 2: Follow-up clinic visits - Preferred model: Two weeks on, two weeks off Patients per Day: 20+ (minimum 4 patients/hour) Surgeries/Procedures: 12-14 per day Beds/Rooms: 3 clinic rooms EMR: Epic Requirements Board Certified in Ophthalmology Active MI license or IMLC BLS Clean history Clinical Details Scope: Comprehensive ophthalmology with clinic and surgical coverage Required: - Cataract removal (phacoemulsification, extracapsular, intracapsular, with intraocular lens implant) - Glaucoma and corneal procedures - Intra-ocular injections - Ultrasound interpretation (A and B-scan), fluorescein angiography interpretation, optical coherence tomography interpretation Support: 2 experienced MAs Setting: Outpatient clinic and procedure center; no call responsibilities Compensation Rates: Facility is accepting bids Malpractice: Provided Travel: Reimbursed
