Are you ready to take your Neuro-Ophthalmology career to the next level in vibrant Grand Rapids, Michigan? Join the Hauenstein Neurosciences Team, West Michigan’s premier neuroscience program, known for cutting-edge technology and compassionate care across a wide spectrum of neurological conditions.
As the region’s only Neuro-Ophthalmology program, you will lead advanced diagnosis and treatment of complex visual disorders related to the nervous system, from sudden vision loss to unexplained neurological visual issues. You’ll work alongside a dedicated, interdisciplinary team including RNs, technicians, therapists, and social workers, all committed to holistic healing and patient support.
What You’ll Do:

Provide expert neuro-ophthalmological evaluations and treatment for visual pathway and eye movement disorders

Diagnose and treat sudden or unexplained vision loss and neurological visual problems

Perform specialized testing: visual acuity, visual fields, pupillary reactivity, OCT, and more

Educate patients and families with compassion and clarity

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team in a nationally recognized MS Society Partner in MS Care program

Participate in general neurology visits as your practice grows

Embrace a strong team approach with support from neuro-ophthalmology technicians, rehab specialists, social workers, and coordinators

Requirements:

Board Eligible (must achieve Board Certification within 2 years) or Board Certified in Neuro-Ophthalmology

Michigan license (or willingness to obtain)

DEA and BLS certification (or willingness to obtain)

Clean malpractice history preferred
