Opportunity Overview
We are seeking an Ophthalmologist to perform non-treatment disability exams for U.S. Veterans in Madison, AL. This is a low-stress, outpatient role focused on clinical evaluations only—no treatment, no prescribing, no surgery, no call.
Practice Details

Exam-Only: No clinical care, no follow-ups, no procedures

Volume: 3–5 patients per day

Schedule: 2 weekdays/week — You choose which days (Mon–Fri)

Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (no nights/weekends)

Support: Trained staff, pre-populated templates, stable outpatient setting

Documentation: Electronic medical records, HIPAA-compliant
Requirements

MD or DO in Ophthalmology (Required)

Any state license (Required)

Strong diagnostic skills in ocular and visual disorders

Ability to complete focused exams and documentation accurately

Prior experience with disability or compensation & pension (C&P) exams a plus, but not required
