Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive Neuro-Ophthalmological evaluations of diseases affecting visual pathways and eye movements.
- Diagnose and treat visual problems related to the nervous system, including unexplained or sudden vision loss.
- Perform Neuro-Ophthalmologic testing such as visual acuity, visual field testing, pupillary reactivity, and optical coherence tomography.
- Provide comprehensive education to patients and their families.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, including RNs, MAs, Neuro-Ophthalmology technicians, MSWs, and Rehabilitation Therapists.
- Participate in general neurology visits as practice demands.
- Open to new graduates who are board certified within two years of becoming board eligible.
- We are unable to accept candidates with lapsed Board Certification.
Qualifications:
- Board Eligible (must become board certified within 2 years) or Board Certified.
- Michigan medical license (or willingness to obtain).
- Clean malpractice history.
- Most recent NPDB Self Query Report within 30 days (active).
- DEA certification (or willingness to obtain).
- BLS certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Note regarding visa support: Accepting H1B visa candidates.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Valid Michigan medical license.
- Board Certification or Board Eligible status.
- DEA certification.
- BLS certification.
