Join Our Team as a Neuro-Ophthalmologist in Grand Rapids, MI!

We invite you to be a part of an esteemed Neuroscience program in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Our facility, recognized for its comprehensive approach to treating a wide range of nervous system conditions, provides a compassionate and state-of-the-art environment. Here, you’ll have the opportunity to work alongside an experienced team and contribute significantly to patient care, while benefiting from our strong interdisciplinary collaboration.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive Neuro-Ophthalmological evaluations of diseases affecting visual pathways and eye movements.
  • Diagnose and treat visual problems related to the nervous system, including unexplained or sudden vision loss.
  • Perform Neuro-Ophthalmologic testing such as visual acuity, visual field testing, pupillary reactivity, and optical coherence tomography.
  • Provide comprehensive education to patients and their families.
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, including RNs, MAs, Neuro-Ophthalmology technicians, MSWs, and Rehabilitation Therapists.
  • Participate in general neurology visits as practice demands.
  • Open to new graduates who are board certified within two years of becoming board eligible.
  • We are unable to accept candidates with lapsed Board Certification.

Qualifications:

  • Board Eligible (must become board certified within 2 years) or Board Certified.
  • Michigan medical license (or willingness to obtain).
  • Clean malpractice history.
  • Most recent NPDB Self Query Report within 30 days (active).
  • DEA certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • BLS certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Note regarding visa support: Accepting H1B visa candidates.

License and Certification Requirements:

  • Valid Michigan medical license.
  • Board Certification or Board Eligible status.
  • DEA certification.
  • BLS certification.
