Partnership Track Ophthalmology opportunity in beautiful Folsom, CA

Mercy Medical Group (MMG) is seeking a skilled and compassionate BC/BE fellowship-trained Ophthalmologist to join its busy collegial team at our Folsom, CA clinic. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diagnosing and treating eye conditions, as well as performing surgical procedures. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic team of professionals and make a positive impact on the visual health of our patients. MMG is a multi-specialty group with more than 500 healthcare providers in the Sacramento region.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive eye examinations to diagnose and treat various eye conditions and diseases.
  • Perform surgical procedures, such as Cataract surgery, Femtosecond laser for cataract surgery, Pterygium, MIGS, lasers for iridotomies, capsulotomies, and SLT
  • Prescribe and manage appropriate medications and treatments for patients.
  • Provide expert advice and counseling to patients regarding their eye health, treatment options, and preventive measures.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including optometrists and primary care physicians, for coordinated patient care.
  • Stay updated with advancements in ophthalmology and participate in relevant continuing education activities.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed medical records of patient consultations, treatments, and outcomes.
  • Adhere to ethical and legal standards in patient care and maintain patient confidentiality.

Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school.
  • Board certification or eligibility in Ophthalmology.
  • Active medical license to practice in the state of California.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients and colleagues.
  • Dedication to providing high-quality patient care with a focus on compassion and empathy.
  • Detail-oriented and organized with excellent time management skills.
  • Willingness to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team environment.
