Ophthalmology Academic Opportunity - Bridgeport, WV
West Virginia University School of Medicine, Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences is seeking an Ophthalmologist to join our practice in Bridgeport, WV (rank available: Assistant, Associate, Professor).
Duties: The successful candidate will practice in the area of comprehensive ophthalmology. In addition to providing excellent patient care, he or she will also be involved in teaching allied health professionals.
Qualifications: Applicants must have an MD or DO foreign equivalent and be eligible to obtain a state medical license. Candidates must have completed an accredited ophthalmology residency program be board certified/eligible in ophthalmology. For appointment at the Associate Professor or Professor rank, a demonstrated track-record of leadership, excellent communication skills, and publications in high-impact journals are required. All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.
United Hospital Center is the result of a merger between St. Mary’s and Union Protestant hospitals in 1970. This bold move provides north central West Virginia with a regional community hospital that offers a vast array of services. . The 692,000-square-foot structure rises eight stories.
