• Schedule: Day shifts, no call
• Shift Duration: 8-hour days
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $9,910 - $10,620
• Patient Volume: Approximately 3 new consults daily; radiation treatment days see about 18-25 patients
• Coverage Need: One full-time equivalent role
• EMR: Cerner
• Special Procedures: HDR experience preferred
• License Support: IMLC welcome

Job Requirements

• Board certification in Radiation Oncology required
• Active state medical license required, or willingness to obtain licensure
• DEA registration required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• At least 1 year of experience in radiation oncology required
• Experience treating adult oncology patients in a busy cancer center
• Comfort managing consults, follow-up visits, and treatment oversight
• Strong communication and collaboration skills

Responsibilities

• Provide radiation oncology consultations and ongoing patient care
• Develop and oversee treatment plans for adult oncology patients
• Collaborate with radiation therapists, advanced practice providers, and nursing staff to deliver coordinated care
• Provide day-to-day clinical coverage for scheduled radiation patients
• Utilize HDR brachytherapy expertise when needed
• Work closely with the care team to maintain efficient patient flow
• Document patient care accurately in the Cerner EMR
• Deliver compassionate, high-quality care in a supportive hospital environment
