Physician - Radiation Oncology

Job Details:

4 days per week schedule with 8-hour clinical days and no call required
Locum position with permanent option available
7-10 patients per day depending on new or follow-up visits, add-ons, and urgent visits
1 day per week reserved for On Treatment Visits (OTV)
Typical shift schedule is Monday through Thursday; schedule may be adjusted if coverage is needed
12-15 active treatment patients and 7-12 follow-up patients per shift
Facility is ACR, ACoS, HFAP, and NSABP accredited; QOPI Certified with Medical Oncology
Completely paperless and filmless environment utilizing Epic EMR and ARIA RO Treatment EMR
Equipment includes Siemens SomaTom CT Simulator, Varian TrueBeam with CBCT, VMAT, and Edge SRS Package, Varian Trilogy with CBCT and VMAT, and Elekta-Nucletron HDR with Oncentra
Support staff includes clinical manager, RTTs, RNs, physicists, and CMD staff
Access to in-house pharmacy, palliative care, spiritual care, financial counselor, and medical nutritional treatment
Required skills include Brachytherapy (Intracavitary/Mammosite), Linear Accelerator, Rapid Arc/VMAT, and Electrons
Required techniques include IMRT, IGRT, SBRT, SRS, Conventional/Conformal Therapy, and 3D CRT
Treatment planning requirements include Beam Shaping (MLC), PET CT or MRI Image Fusion, Electronic Portal Imaging, and Clinical Trials
Board certification required; Fellowship required
Active BLS and ABLS certifications required
