## Radiation Oncologist | Sterling, IL Northwest Illinois — 2 Hours West of Chicago ## Position Details * Full-time, permanent employed position * Setting: Outpatient radiation oncology — solo practice * Call: Phone-only overnight and weekend call — minimal after-hours calls * 99-bed independent community hospital ## Practice Overview Seeking a BC/BE Radiation Oncologist to join a growing radiation oncology program at an independent community hospital: * Varian iX Accelerator on site * 15–20 treatments per day * 4–5 consults per week * No brachytherapy * Good multi-disciplinary referral base * Growing practice with high earning potential * 77 employed physicians and 75 APPs across 35 areas of medicine * Hospital, Main Clinic, and 14 additional satellite facilities throughout the service area * Comfortable work-life balance in a friendly community of approximately 26,000 residents ## Compensation & Benefits * Salary range: $650,000–$780,000 plus production-based bonus potential * Robust benefits package * Details provided upon inquiry ## Required Qualifications * MD or DO — Board Certified or Board Eligible in Radiation Oncology * Illinois medical license or willingness to obtain ## About the Community – Sterling, Illinois * Family-friendly community of approximately 26,000 in the heart of northwest Illinois * Laid-back lifestyle with a warm, welcoming atmosphere * Sports, Training, and Wellness Complex rivaling anything in the nation * Woodlawn Arts Academy — rich arts and cultural programming * Ideal for outdoor activities throughout the Rock River region * Excellent public and private schools * 2 hours west of Chicago — easy access to world-class city amenities * 1 hour east of the Mississippi River — scenic natural beauty and recreation
