We are seeking a Board Certified Radiation Oncologist for a locum tenens assignment in Grand Forks, ND. The role involves providing outpatient radiation oncology coverage at a cancer center, managing patient evaluations, treatment planning, and follow-up care during provider vacation and leave coverage periods.
This is a recurring locum assignment with ongoing coverage needs, including multiple scheduled blocks across the year.
Job Responsibilities
🧪 Develop, review, and oversee radiation treatment plans
📊 Manage daily patient caseload (consults, on-treatment visits, follow-ups)
🤝 Collaborate with physicists, dosimetrists, therapists, nurses, and APPs for coordinated care
🏥 Supervise and ensure safe and accurate delivery of radiation therapy treatments
📈 Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as clinically indicated
🖥️ Document patient care and treatment decisions in EMR systems
🔁 Provide coverage during assigned vacation and LOA blocks as scheduled
Qualifications
🪪 Active North Dakota license required (IMLC considered if eligible)
📊 Experience in outpatient radiation oncology practice
🏥 Ability to manage full clinical caseload independently
💻 Familiarity with modern radiation oncology workflows preferred
Working Hours
🗓️ Monday–Friday
🕗 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (standard clinic hours)
📅 Coverage on assigned dates throughout the year
📌 No call requirement
🔁 Approx. 2 weeks/month coverage requirement
