We are seeking a Radiation Oncologist to join a premier, multidisciplinary team in Grand Rapids. This state-of-the-art facility provides a comprehensive approach to cancer treatment, combining advanced technology with patient-centered care. The locum will join two other full-time physicians and two APPs in a collaborative, high-volume environment.

-Schedule: Days; Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM.
-Location: Grand Rapids, MI.
-Team: 2 Physicians and 2 APPs.
-Charting: Mosaiq / Epic EMR.

  • Travel Reimbursement: Flights, lodging, Rental Car, and IRS Standard Mileage.



Job Responsibilities

-Provide outpatient and inpatient radiation oncology services within a comprehensive cancer center.
-Manage a daily outpatient clinic volume of 30–50 patients and inpatient rounding for 2–5 patients.
-Perform required procedures: Conventional/3D Radiotherapy, IMRT, IGRT, SBRT, Helical-Tomotherapy, Stereotactic Radiosurgery, and Fractionated Stereotactic Radiotherapy.
-Order necessary diagnostic tests, imaging, and prescriptions to support treatment plans.
-Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including genetic counselors, dieticians, and nurse navigators.

Qualifications

-Board Certification: Board Certified or "Truly" Board Eligible in Radiation Oncology [REQUIRED].
-Licensure: Active Michigan State Medical License [REQUIRED].
-Certifications: Current BLS [REQUIRED].
-Credentialing: Most recent Self-Query NPDB report (pulled within the month) required at time of presentation.

Working Hours

-Shifts: 8-hour day shifts; 40 hours per week.
-On-Call: No call requirements.
-Availability: ASAP start; estimated 90-day credentialing timeframe

Skills

-Mastery of advanced external beam radiation techniques and stereotactic procedures.
-Ability to thrive in a high-volume, multidisciplinary clinical setting.
-Strong diagnostic and prescriptive authority within an integrated oncology framework.
