  • Other Details: We are seeking a board-eligible Radiation Oncology physician with an active New York medical license and AHA BLS and ACLS certification, with a minimum of 2 years of recent experience, to provide short-term coverage for a physician on vacation. The provider will work in a clinic setting caring for adult patients with a variety of medical conditions, collaborating with an NP and LPN, and using EPIC for charting and Pixys for medication dispensing. Responsibilities include evaluating patients to diagnose cancer, developing personalized radiation therapy treatment plans, administering radiation therapy including advanced methods, monitoring patient progress, managing side effects, and collaborating with the oncology team. Coverage is preferred for three days during the week of May 18, Tuesday through Thursday, with shift times of 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. or 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., no call required, and floating is not applicable. Providers must follow unit policies including clocking in/out at shift start/end, taking a 30-minute lunch break, obtaining approval for overtime, and refraining from personal cell phone use during shifts.

Job Responsibilities

* Evaluate patients to diagnose cancer and determine appropriate radiation therapy treatments
* Develop personalized radiation therapy plans based on cancer type, stage, and location
* Administer radiation therapy, including advanced techniques such as stereotactic radiosurgery
* Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
* Manage potential side effects of radiation therapy
* Collaborate with a multidisciplinary oncology team to provide comprehensive patient care
* Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC and coordinate medication administration with Pixys
* Provide high-quality care in a clinic setting with adult patients

Qualifications

* Board-eligible in Radiation Oncology
* Active New York medical license
* AHA BLS and ACLS certification
* Minimum of 2 years recent clinical experience in Radiation Oncology
* Good written and verbal communication skills
* Professional demeanor and ability to work collaboratively with staff

Working Hours

* Short-term coverage for three days during the week of May 18, preferably Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday
* Shift times: 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. or 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
* No call required
