Are you a dedicated Radiation Oncology Physician passionate about advancing cancer treatment and patient care? We are seeking a skilled and compassionate medical doctor specializing in radiation therapy to provide exceptional care in a dynamic clinical setting. This vital role offers the opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team, utilize advanced treatment techniques, and make a meaningful difference in patients’ lives.
Required Skills:
- Valid New York State Medical License
- Board Certification in Radiation Oncology
- Minimum of 2 years recent clinical experience in radiation therapy
- Proficiency in evaluating cancer patients and developing personalized treatment plans
- Experience administering advanced radiation treatments such as stereotactic radiosurgery
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Basic life support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications
- Excellent clinical judgment and ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with EPIC electronic health record system
- Familiarity with automated medication dispensing systems like Pixys
- Prior experience working in a hospital or outpatient clinic setting
- Research experience or participation in clinical studies related to radiation oncology
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Medical degree (MD) from an accredited institution
- Prior comprehensive experience in radiation oncology, ideally with state-of-the-art treatment modalities
- Proven ability to manage adult patient populations with complex medical conditions
Other Requirements:
- Availability for coverage during scheduled days (preferably Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday), working 8:00 am to 4:00 pm or 9:00 am to 5:30 pm
- No call responsibilities required
- Professional attire: business casual, with appropriate footwear
- Must adhere to dress code, grooming, and safety standards
- Leave cell phone in locker during shifts
- Cell phone use not permitted on duty
- Shift coverage is for the week of May 18 as a vacation coverage position
- Hourly pay rate of $2,453.72
