Locum Tenens Radiation Oncologist – Erie, PA

Locum Tenens Radiation Oncologist – Erie, PA (Board-certified MD/DO). Join a collaborative cancer center delivering SRS, SBRT and comprehensive radiation oncology care on the shores of Lake Erie.

Job Details

  • Position: Locum Tenens Radiation Oncologist / Radiation Oncology Physician
  • Location: Erie, PA 16505 — Erie, Pennsylvania radiation oncology jobs; Lake Erie waterfront living and easy access to outdoor recreation
  • Setting: On-site at a leading cancer center (radiation oncology clinic)
  • Start Date: April 6, 2026 (ASAP start available with emergency/locum privileges)
  • Duration: Flexible — multiple weeks to months; full-time preferred
  • Hours per Week: 36
  • Shift: Day shifts (7:30am–4:00pm) with required night call (4:00pm–10:00pm) and weekend call (Saturday/Sunday 8:00am–8:00pm; primarily 12-hour coverage)
  • Estimated Weekly Salary: $6,280 – $7,440

Qualifications / Job Requirements

  • Board-certified Radiation Oncologist (MD or DO required)
  • Minimum 1 year recent clinical experience in radiation oncology
  • Proficiency with ARIA and Eclipse treatment planning and charting systems
  • Required experience with SRS (stereotactic radiosurgery) and SBRT (stereotactic body radiation therapy)
  • HDR brachytherapy experience is a plus
  • Ability to manage a full patient caseload independently and provide on-call coverage
  • Strong communication skills and commitment to multidisciplinary cancer care teams
  • Must hold or be able to obtain a Pennsylvania medical license or work under locum tenens privileges

Responsibilities

  • Provide full-spectrum radiation oncology care including consultation, treatment planning, and delivery
  • Independently perform SRS and SBRT procedures and ensure high-quality treatment delivery
  • Use ARIA and Eclipse for treatment planning, charting, and patient management
  • Participate in scheduled day shifts, night call, and weekend call as assigned
  • Collaborate with medical oncologists, surgeons, radiation therapists, physicists, and support staff
  • Maintain accurate documentation and comply with quality assurance and safety protocols
