Locum Radiation Oncologist Needs in Ohio!

ATC West Healthcare Services is seeking a locum Radiation Oncologist to provide outpatient cancer care coverage. The role spans two regional cancer centers in Ohio and focuses primarily on adult patients in hospital-based and clinic settings. The physician will work alongside another Radiation Oncologist and one APP, delivering comprehensive radiation therapy services.

Dates / Schedule

• Coverage Dates: June 1, 2026 – December 31, 2026

• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM

• Call Schedule: Managed by permanent providers (no call required)

• Credentialing Timeframe: 90–120 days

• Reason for Coverage: Physician retirement

Job Details / Responsibilities

• Practice Setting: Outpatient & free-standing cancer centers

• Trauma Level (Hospital): Level 2

• Patient Population: Adults (hospital-based and office/clinic)

• Physicians in Practice: 1

• Other Radiation Oncologists Present: Yes

• APP Support: 1 APP

• Average Daily Census:

  • Outpatient: 20 patients

  • Inpatient: 1 patient

• EMR Systems: Mosaiq, Epic

Required Procedures:

• Conventional Radiotherapy

• 3D Radiotherapy

• MRT

• External Beam Radiation (3D-CRT, IGRT, IMRT)

• Stereotactic Radiosurgery

• Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy (SBRT)

• Fractionated Stereotactic Radiotherapy

Core Duties:

• Order tests and diagnostic imaging

• Prescribe radiation treatment plans

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Board Certified in Radiation Oncology – Required

• Active Ohio medical license (or willingness to obtain) – Required

• BLS Certification – Required

• Self-Query NPDB report dated within 30 days of presentation – Required
