Locums – Erie, Pennsylvania Radiation Oncologist Job

Location: Erie, Pennsylvania Start: ASAP – Ongoing Licensure: PA license or ability to obtain (client open to both) Board Status: Board Certified Required

• Ideal: Full-time locum

• Will consider: 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off (with 2 locums coordinated)

• Clinic hours: Typically 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM

• Weeknight call: 4:00 PM – 10:00 PM (mostly phone; rare hospital consults)

• Weekend call: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM

• Call volume:

  • Mostly medication/side-effect questions

  • ~1 consult per week, possibly 1 over the weekend

  • Inpatient consults at local hospital (4 miles from cancer center)

Outpatient cancer center providing comprehensive radiation oncology care, including:

• Patient & caregiver support groups

• Nutritional counseling

• Education and psychosocial services

• Symptom and side-effect management

• ~38 treatments/day

• 75% IMRT

• SBRT: ~1.6/day

• HDR: ~0.11/day

• Secondary neoplasms

• Lung

• Breast

• Male genital system

• Head & neck cancers

• IMRT

• IGRT

• OBI

• SRS/SBRT

• RapidArc

• Respiratory gating

• HDR brachytherapy

• LINACs: Elekta

• EMR: Aria / Mosaiq

• 2 Radiation Oncologists

• 1 APP

• 2 Physicists

• 2 Dosimetrists

• 6 Radiation Therapists

• 3 Nurses
