Genesis HealthCare System is seeking a Board-Certified Radiation Oncologist to provide locum tenens coverage starting February 16, 2026, with an ongoing need due to a long-term permanent vacancy.

This is a well-supported, accredited program needing coverage for scheduled clinical hours only—no call required.

Position Details

  • Specialty: Radiation Oncology

  • Position Type: Locum Tenens

  • Practice Setting: Inpatient & Outpatient

  • Schedule:

    • 3–4 days per week

    • 8-hour clinical days

    • No call

  • Start Date: February 16, 2026

  • Duration: Ongoing

  • EMR Systems:

    • Epic (Hospital EMR)

    • ARIA Radiation Oncology Treatment EMR

  • Privileges: Temporary privileges available

  • Credentialing Timeline: ~20 days

Clinical Environment

  • ACR, ACoS, HFAP, and NSABP Accredited

  • QOPI Certified with Medical Oncology

  • Fully paperless and filmless department

  • Robust support staff including:

    • Clinical Manager

    • Radiation Therapists

    • Physicists

    • Oncology-Certified RNs

    • Research and Nurse Navigators

    • In-house pharmacy, palliative care, and ancillary support services

Technology & Equipment Highlights

  • Siemens Somatom CT Simulator

  • Varian TrueBeam with CBCT & VMAT

  • Varian Trilogy with CBCT & VMAT

  • Elekta-Nucletron HDR with Oncentra

  • Edge SRS Package with Vision RT / OSMS

Required Skills & Techniques

Experience with the following is required:

  • External Beam Radiation Therapy (EBRT)

  • Linear Accelerator

  • IMRT, IGRT

  • SBRT, SRS

  • VMAT / RapidArc

  • Treatment planning (3D CRT, MLC, PET-CT/MRI fusion)

  • Electronic Portal Imaging (EPI)

  • Clinical trials participation

Requirements

  • Board Certified in Radiation Oncology

  • Active Ohio Medical License

  • BLS Certification

  • Must meet hospital credentialing standards

Travel & Logistics

  • Nearest Airport: Columbus (CMH)

  • Lodging Area: Zanesville
