Full-Time Locum Radiation Oncologist
Seeking two full-time Radiation Oncologists to provide ongoing locum coverage beginning February 2026 due to physician turnover. The providers will practice in a free-standing cancer center and share patient volume with an internal physician, supporting consistent weekly coverage and continuity of care.

Initial Open Dates: December 8–12, December 15–19

Ongoing Coverage: Weekly, full-time coverage expected

Clinic Hours: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM

Call: 24-hour shared call with one other physician

Call Ratio: 1:2
Practice Setting

Facility: Johnson Family Cancer Center (Free-Standing Cancer Center)

Hospital Trauma Level: Level II

Patient Population: Adult, hospital-based

Physician Team: 2 Radiation Oncologists

APP Support: 1 Nurse Practitioner supporting clinic operations

Patient Volume:
-
Outpatient: 10–15 patients/day

Inpatient: None (call only)

Clinical Responsibilities

Consultations and on-treatment management
-
Daily clinical operations and minor procedures
-
Ordering tests and imaging
-
Prescribing medications
-
Shared oversight of radiation treatment plans
Required Procedures

Conventional and 3D Radiotherapy
-
External Beam Radiation (3D-CRT, IGRT, IMRT)

Stereotactic Radiosurgery
-
Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy (SBRT)

Fractionated Stereotactic Radiotherapy
Credentialing & Travel
-
Credentialing: Medical staff credentialing by start date; payer enrollment ~120 days

Travel: Flights, lodging, rental car, and mileage reimbursed per policy (flexible travel preferences)
Submission Requirements

Board Certified or Board Eligible in Radiation Oncology – Required

Michigan license or IMLC with LOQ – Required

BLS certification – Required

Must be available for full-time, ongoing coverage – Required
