Job description

Job description Full-time locum Radiation Oncologists needed starting February 2026 to support a busy cancer center experiencing physician turnover. Providers will share patient load with an internal physician and cover consults, on-treatment visits, minor procedures, and daily clinical operations. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, with 24-hour call shared 1:2. EMR: Aria & Epic.

Job Responsibilities

See 10–15 outpatient patients per day, perform required radiation oncology procedures (3D-CRT, IMRT, IGRT, SBRT, SRS, Fractionated Radiotherapy), order tests and imaging, prescribe treatments, assist with minor procedures, provide on-treatment management, and participate in 24-hour call coverage with another physician. Support patient care with an NP and collaborate with the internal radiation oncologist managing overall clinic operations.

Qualifications

Board Certified or Board Eligible in Radiation Oncology; active Michigan license or IMLC/LOQ; BLS certification; availability for full-time ongoing weekly coverage.

Working Hours

Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM; 24-hour call; call ratio 1:2; full-time weekly schedule.

Skills

Competency in all core radiation oncology treatment modalities (3D, IMRT, IGRT, SBRT, SRS), strong clinical decision-making, ability to manage adult oncology patients independently, proficiency with Aria and Epic, strong communication and workflow coordination.
