We are seeking a Radiation Oncology Physician for an ongoing Locum Tenens opportunity in Minnesota, committing to one full week of clinic coverage per month with required limited daily call.
Assignment Details
- Specialty: Radiation Oncology

- End Date: Ongoing
- Coverage Type: Clinic + Limited On-Call
- Practice Setting: Outpatient / Inpatient / Telehealth

- Credentialing Timeline: 90 Days (Temporary privileges may be available for candidates with a clean file and active MN license).
Schedule & Commitment
- Commitment: One full week per month is required.
- Clinic Hours: 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM (based on patient volume).
- Call Hours: 7:30 AM – 5:30 PM (Limited daily call during clinic hours).
- Call Requirement Note: No call outside of clinic hours (no nighttime, evening, or weekend call).
Scope of Work & Resources
- Patient Volume: Average of 5–10 clinic patients per day.
- Treatments: Overseeing an average of 25 patients on treatment per day, including IMRT, SBRT, 3D-CRT, and SRS.
- Inpatient Work: Rarely rounding on rad-onc inpatients.
- Equipment/Software:
- Linear Accelerator: Varian TrueBeam (w/ IMRT, SBRT, 3D-CRT, SRS).
- Simulator: In-clinic Siemens Healthineers CT-Sim with respiratory gating.
- Planning Software: Varian Aria/Eclipse.
- Support: Weekly onsite physics coverage and remote dosimetry.
Requirements
- Certification: Board Certified (BC) or Board Eligible. BLS required.
