Coverage Needed

  • Start Date: 11/01/2025
  • End Date: Unknown
  • Schedule: 5 days per week + call
  • OP office hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM, 7:00 AM-3:30 PM, or 7:30 AM-4:00 PM
  • Call: Every other week with simultaneous OP office coverage
  • Estimated Shifts/Month: 22
  • Must be available full-time ongoing for a year
  • Must be able to take call in addition to regular day shifts

Clinical Details

  • Trauma Level: Level II
  • EMR: Aria RO Epic/IP Powerchart
  • Support Staff: 2 physicists, 2 dosimetrists, 6 radiation therapists, 3 nurses, 2 front office staff, 1 financial counselor
  • Average 30 treatments per day
  • 8-12 average consults per week, split with second physician
  • Procedures: 2D & 3D radiation therapy, IMRT, IGRT, DIBH, SBRT, SRS, Brachytherapy for cylinders
  • Types of Calls: Telephone; Other
  • On-call physicians handle any patient calls and consult inpatients needing radiation
  • Inpatient hospital is 2.2 miles away from the radiation oncology department
  • Typical Day: 2 new consults, 1 reevaluation, 2 follow-up patients
  • Tuesdays: All on-treatment patients are seen by the physician
  • Simulations scheduled Monday to Friday, typically 2-3 a day
  • Daily review of images
  • Will work solo

Requirements

  • Board Certified in Radiation Oncology
  • Active Pennsylvania license required
  • DEA required
  • Minimum 1 year of experience
  • Highly prefer local and/or drive-in candidates
  • Will consider IMLC
