Locum Radiation Oncologist – Michigan

Hourly Rate: $300 | Night Call: $376 | 24-Hour On Call: $1,925
Location: Michigan – Free-Standing Cancer Center
Duration: December coverage & ongoing until permanent hire

Open Dates

  • December 8 – 12

  • December 15 – 19

Ongoing Coverage: January 1, 2025 – until permanent physician is hired

Practice & Schedule

  • Schedule: Mon–Fri, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM

  • Call: 24-hour call, 1:2 ratio (shared with another physician)

  • Physicians in Practice: 2

  • Support Staff: 1 NP in clinic

  • Average Patient Load:

    • Outpatient (clinic): 10–15/day

    • Inpatient (call/rounding): 0

  • Population: Adult, hospital-based

  • Trauma Level: II (affiliated hospital)

  • Reason for Need: Physician turnover

Clinical Requirements

  • Required Procedures:

    • Conventional Radiotherapy

    • 3D Radiotherapy

    • External Beam Radiation (3D-CRT, IGRT, IMRT)

    • Stereotactic Radiosurgery

    • SBRT

    • Fractionated Stereotactic Radiotherapy

  • Duties: Ordering tests & imaging, prescribing treatments

  • EMR: Aria & Epic

Submission Requirements

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Radiation Oncology – Required

  • Michigan License or IMLC/LOQ – Required (no exceptions)

  • BLS Certified – Required

  • Availability for listed dates – Required

Bill Rates (malpractice included)

  • Hourly: $300

  • Night Call: $376

  • 24-Hour On Call: $1,925

Travel & Reimbursements

  • Travel, hotel, rental car provided

  • Mileage reimbursed at IRS standard rate

  • Flexible travel caps
