  • Other Details: The facility is seeking a Radiation Oncologist to provide locum tenens coverage on December 8–12 and December 15–19 at a free-standing cancer center with Level 2 trauma designation, due to physician turnover. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m.–4:00 p.m., with 24-hour call shared on a 1:2 ratio with another physician. The practice includes two Radiation Oncologists and one NP supporting the clinic, with an average of 10–15 outpatients per day and no inpatient rounding. Required procedures include Conventional Radiotherapy, 3D Radiotherapy, External Beam Radiation (3D-CRT, IGRT, IMRT), Stereotactic Radiosurgery, SBRT, and Fractionated Stereotactic Radiotherapy. Duties will involve ordering tests and images as well as prescribing. Providers must be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Radiation Oncology, hold an active license, and be BLS certified, with availability for the specified dates. Credentialing will be completed by the start date.

Job Responsibilities

* Provide radiation oncology coverage during scheduled clinic hours and shared call
* Perform required procedures including conventional radiotherapy, 3D radiotherapy, external beam radiation (3D-CRT, IGRT, IMRT), stereotactic radiosurgery, SBRT, and fractionated stereotactic radiotherapy
* Manage outpatient care with an average of 10–15 patients per day
* Collaborate with the clinical team, including another physician and an NP, to ensure continuity of care
* Order tests, imaging, and prescribe as needed

Qualifications

* Board certified or board eligible in Radiation Oncology
* Active and unrestricted state medical license or IMLC/LOQ
* BLS certification required
* Prior experience in outpatient cancer center or similar clinical setting preferred
* Availability to cover the specified open dates

Working Hours

* Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
* 24-hour call coverage shared with another physician (1:2 ratio)
* Coverage dates: December 8–12 and December 15–19
